Document Sequencing in General Ledger

You can assign only one active document sequence scheme to each unique combination of:

• Application, Category
• Set of Books
• Method (Auto or Manual entry)

However, you can assign the same document sequence to more than one combination of Application, Category, Set of Books, and Method.

General Ledger automatically creates journal entries for actual transactions when you perform the following tasks:

Import Journals

Reverse Journals

Revalue Balances

Generate Recurring Journals

Generate MassAllocation Journals

Consolidate Sets of Books

Why can't I have multiple Doc Sequences with my Ledger and multiple OU's?

So since Document Sequencing is at the Ledger level you may have multiple OU's with single LE's or multiple LE's in a single OU and you still can't escape the ledger.  So if there is a real or "perceived" need (when someone sat next to an auditor at lunch and overheard them saying that all LE's must have their own sequences) then you need to follow a 1:1:1 model i.e. one LE to one Ledger to one OU.. Unless? Custom sequences... omg... Anything is possible for the right $$.
